This is a three-part ministry, coming along side of the Worship Ministry and incorporating the use of Flags & Banners, Dance and Drama.

The goals of this ministry are as follows:

• To bring Glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus;
• To educate and train present and future generations to worship thru the use of Flags & Banners, and Dance;
• To reach the unbeliever, by the introduction of the gospel thru community or church presentations;
• To promote unity in the Body of Christ, by incorporating believers from inside and outside of our immediate church congregation;  AND
• To be a “vehicle” by which God can bring His Signs, Wonders and Miracles!

The desire of this ministry is that by incorporating all aspects of Worship; the Body of Christ as a whole, will advance together in Kingdom Power, Authority and Purpose!  In doing so, we will be doing our part to bring Heaven to Earth!

Practicum and Ministry Team Overview

 II.               Practicum:
This s the practical foundation for ministry outreach (Rom 12:1, 2 Cor 10:31).  This section is open to anyone who desires instruction in these areas.  Anyone participating on a Team will be required to attend the practicum class.  Class time will be approximately 45 min.  Note:  Classes may be divided into two groups (7 -11 yrs., 12 & up) if needed.

Outline:

§  Word & Worship : Opening and close w/prayer, and a brief time of learning to worship with sensitivity to each other and our surroundings.

§  Fitness:  Exercises to Warm up, Cool down, strengthen, etc.

§  Technique:   Proper handling of flags, props, movement, etc.

§  Health Education:  Nutrition, injury prevention, dress, etiquette, etc.

 Note:   There will be a 15 minute break between Practicum class and Team Time.  (Any longer and we will have difficulty getting people to re-focus and start on time.)

III.           Ministry Team Time:

This is the time used to bring individuals and their talents & abilities, together, as Ministry areas and as a whole. This will take place during the second hour (8 – 9 pm) and on additional times as needed.

 Outline:

§  Unity Time:   This is a time of Prayer & sharing, to promote and develop unity as a team,  and discuss any scheduled events or updates.

Note:  This is not a gossip session!  (not to exceed 15 min.)

§  Rehearsal Time:   Consists of review, development of choreography and movement, discussion and implementation of new material, etc.  (approx. 3o – 45 min)

§  Cool Down!  :   Stretching and relaxing as a team (5-10 min)

§  Closing Prayer & Blessing!

IV.            Community Outreach:           

Exact outreach locations are to be suggested by Ministry area directors and their Teams, and submitted to Pastor and church elders for approval.

The following are some ideas:  Niagara County Fair, Taste of Lockport, Orleans County Fair, Niagara Falls Gospel Concert, Keenan Center Artisans show, local talent shows, Senior facilities, YMCA, fund raising events, events at other churches, etc.
